Exercises at Cubbon Park

Diana, hosts a session where participants were asked to find objects around the park for other participants, random objects were provided to the participants upon the condition of having their eyes closed.
Participants were then asked to feel the object for 5 minutes, textures, forms, weight, smell, sound became parameters that became clues for the blindfolded participant to derive ‘visuals’ for the object in hand.
Participants were then asked to draw the objects.
Once the drawing was finished with eyes opened, Participants were presented the object for comparision and assesement.

This exercise in sensory extrapolation was a diversion for the group, who had been trained for years in visual arts.
